What's in a screen/user name? Tell us how you found yours.

When I first got the Internet and started out on boards and blogs, I didn't use my first name, Ron. I didn't want anyone to know my first name, for security reasons mostly.

I remember my first screen name on AOL was Luke51999. Luke became my "screen name" for the longest time and also became a nickname that I named myself. There are still people who call me Luke! Luke was from Luke Skywalker fame and 51999 was May of 1999. The date that Star Wars I - The Phantom Menace came out. I was a Star Wars freak :D

Anyways, after that date came and went, I changed my name to Luke52005. You can surely guess what that stands for! Star Wars III. :D

I finally settled for Gifdude, my screen name on AOL. Gif is for .gif, the extension for graphics. Dude is, well, dude.
